Assam's Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi faces a fuselage of angry words from women politicians and activists for being insensitive in issuing a press release with the name and photograph of the Class XI Guwahati student who was brutally molested by a 50-strong crowd last week. Left leader Brinda Karat has termed this "shocking" and has sought a public apology from him.
