India’s GST is getting simpler! From September 22, only two slabs — 5% and 18% — will remain. This means groceries, fertilisers, textiles, footwear, and even renewable energy will get cheaper. Middle-class essentials like TVs, ACs, and bikes under 350cc will now fall under the 18% bracket. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says the reform will put more money in people’s hands and boost the economy.
