An incident highlighting humanity and courage has come to light from Delhi’s Mehrauli area. A transport businessman, Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Sangam Vihar, was brutally assaulted after he objected to the harassment of a young woman near a tea stall on IGNOU Road. According to reports, a group of youths was passing obscene comments and harassing women at the spot. When Mukesh intervened, the accused pushed him to the ground, thrashed him, and attacked him with stones, leaving him seriously injured. While bystanders allegedly remained silent spectators, one Muslim man stepped in, rescued Mukesh, and helped save his life. Mukesh was admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre and has since been discharged after treatment. Delhi Police have registered a case based on the woman’s statement and launched an investigation. Mukesh says the incident proves that humanity is still alive, and he is deeply grateful to the man who came to his rescue.
