Gaza War | Israeli Settlers Block Palestinian Children's Path To School With Wire & Tear Gas

Palestinian students like Hajar and Rashid Hathaleen have long walked from their neighborhood, through a valley, to their village’s elementary school. When classes resumed this week for the first time since the start of the Iran war, Sarah Hathaleen braided her younger sister Hajar’s hair and sent her off with Rashid. But their route was cut off, with coils of barbed wire blocking the path, stopping them and dozens of other children as young as five from getting to school. In the rolling hills of the occupied West Bank, they sat and waited on Monday alongside the newly erected fence as their parents and leaders in their village, Umm al-Khair, demanded their passage.
