Gaurav Gogoi Interview | Gaurav Gogoi Reveals Congress' Seat Sharing Plans Ahead Of Assam Elections

Assam Congress chief and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, said that seat-sharing talks within the alliance are nearing conclusion and the Congress will soon announce the final arrangement. Gogoi also alleged that the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) is a “secret ally” of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He claimed that during the recent Rajya Sabha elections in India, the BJP-led NDA took support from the AIUDF. According to the Congress leader, the AIUDF and the BJP effectively came together in the Rajya Sabha polls. He further alleged that Badruddin Ajmal and his party provide political support to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Gogoi also expressed confidence about winning from Jorhat, the constituency from which he will be contesting.
