In the first international reaction on India's nuclear liability rules, the chief of the French nuclear programme, Dr Bernard Bigot, has said France will comply with Indian rules. Mr Bigot held day-long bilateral discussions with the Indian Department of Atomic Energy and then spoke exclusively to Pallava Bagla. India is hoping to buy two 1650 MW EPR reactors to be installed at Jaitapur, which he says is a very safe reactor.
