The BJP in Tamil Nadu is holding a hunger strike in Chennai, demanding a CBI probe into the death by suicide of a class 12 girl, after her hostel warden allegedly made her clean classrooms and do other administrative work. In a video that emerged after her death, which NDTV can't independently verify, the 17-year-old said that two years ago her warden had asked if she would convert to Christianity and the family had refused, due to which she may have been targeted. The BJP has alleged forced conversion while the police have arrested the accused. Officials say the girl and her parents had never alleged forced conversion when questioned earlier. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai on the lack of evidence and sharing of the minor girl's video on social media in violation.
