Aviation instructor Alberto Paduanelli recreated the dramatic Flydubai incident in a flight simulator and described the experience as a "very, very vertical roller coaster" unlike anything most passengers would ever expect during a routine flight. According to Paduanelli, passengers not wearing seatbelts could have experienced powerful negative G-forces, causing their bodies to lift from their seats while loose objects were thrown around the cabin. Using a simulator, he explained how the aircraft's autopilot reportedly disconnected before the rapid descent, causing the jet to accelerate dramatically.
