A social activist, Anjali Bhardwaj, says she saw the centre making strong statements about the minority community during the citizenship amendment protests and when this was tried with the farmers, the backlash was "very severe". However, BJP Kisan Morcha leader Prakash Chandra Sharma says the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act were "a false reality", so there was no need for talks.
