Farhan Akhtar on Support My School Campaign: Implementation of Schemes is the Key

Speaking during an event to mark NDTV Coca-Cola Support My School's initiative to revive 500 schools, actor Farhan Akhtar said that apart from the lack of infrastructure there's a certain sadness that children experience in schools that lack basic amenities like toilets, access to clean drinking water, playgrounds and libraries, making it difficult for them to learn and retain knowledge. Though the government does come up with good schemes like mid-day meal, concerns like adulteration and food not being nutritious enough offset the entire purpose of the scheme.
