Explained: What A US Naval Blockade Of The Strait Of Hormuz Could Look Like

The US says it will deploy warships at key points in and around the Strait of Hormuz to enforce a naval blockade aimed at restricting Iran's trade. The move could involve inspection or stoppage of vessels heading to Iran, limits on oil exports and imports, and constant monitoring through surveillance drones and submarines. US forces may issue warnings or intercept ships, including those sailing through the corridor from friendly nations.
