Five exit polls have predicted a hung house in Karnataka. A majority of them have given a slight edge to the Congress. The predictions also indicate that HD Kumaraswamy's Janata Dal (Secular), or JD(S), is likely to play kingmaker. The majority mark in the 224-seat assembly is 113 seats. Karnataka BJP leader R Ashok said the party is confident of crossing the majority mark comfortably. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah's campaigns have boosted the party's chances. We will do well in many regions, especially the coastal region," Mr Ashok said. Votes will be counted on Saturday.
