Cyclone Amphan: Waves Could Be 4 To 6 Metres, Says NDRF Chief

The storm surge that Cyclone Amphan could cause is a matter of concern, the chief of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) told NDTV. "The storm surge and tidal waves are going to be very strong. Waves are likely to be four to six metres," said NDRF chief SN Pradhan. The cyclone comes at a time the country is fighting the coronavirus pandemic, posing a double challenge to the authorities.
