Erratic Rains Adversely Affect Tea Production In Assam, Production Down By 12%

The ongoing erratic spell of rains in Assam has left the farmers across the state high and dry, as a rainfall deficit has been an issue, and this has hit the two-century-old tea gardens of Upper Assam. As NDTV went around some of the tea gardens in eastern Assam's Dibrugarh district, it found that erratic rains and a spell of high temperatures have adversely affected production.
