At an event in Mumbai, actor Salman Khan spoke about his Bollywood debut Maine Pyar Kiya (1989). He shared some anecdotes and said at that time he just wanted his film to do well because Aamir Khan's debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak had become a blockbuster hit. He was worried people in Bandra would laugh at him, had his film not done well.
