Multiple episodes of elevator malfunction in high rise societies in the Delhi-NCR region have come to light. The latest incident was reported from Noida's River Side Tower where nine employees of an IT firm suffered injuries last week. Now, the UP government has approved the Uttar Pradesh lift and accelerator bill, 2023. The act would hold builders, lift manufacturing companies, service providers, and authorities accountable.
