The Union government has announced that it will allow schools to reopen from October 15 and has even announced detailed SOPs for it, from sanitised classrooms to staggered timetables. But for many economically backward children studying in government schools, education may just end up being a dream that they can't fulfil. In Delhi, three lakh students of Class 10 and 12 are struggling to pay CBSE's registration fees. If they do not pay then they will not be allowed to appear for board exams. Unlike last year, the Delhi government has refused to pay the fees this time, citing a fund crunch.
