As Edible Oil prices continue to remain high, the Centre on Friday claimed that edible oil prices in major retail markets across many cities have come down by Rs 7 to Rs 20 per litre between October 31 and November 3 after various measures, including an import duty cut, were imposed. If the prices reduce further, it will be a big boost for India's poor and middle class who have been struggling for months to cope with the high prices.
