Axis Bank's chief economist Neelkanth Mishra talks about the 'freebies' politics and its impact on the Indian economy. He also says that major chunk of state expenditure is spent on government employees. "Little is spent by states on healthcare, education and skilling of poor. Basic facilities for poor are missing due to disproportionate spending," he adds.
