Former Apache combat pilot and ex-FBI agent Don Bentley analysed viral footage showing UAE Apache helicopters shooting down Iranian drones. He explained that the Boeing AH-64 Apache is primarily designed for ground attack, not air-to-air combat, making such missions extremely challenging. Using a 30-mm chain gun with a relatively slower firing rate, pilots rely on advanced targeting systems and fire-control computers to intercept fast-moving drones.
