A Faculty of Law PhD scholar has been suspended and barred from entering Delhi University's premises after allegedly assaulting a professor at Umang Bhawan. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing the scholar slapping the professor. The university's teachers' body has demanded stronger security measures, saying suspension alone is not enough.
