Dowry demand: Groom chased away
A groom and his baarat was chased away by the bride and her family and beaten for demanding dowry in Hoshiarpur.The bridegroom and his relatives arrived in Miyani village near Hoshiarpur expecting to take the bride back with them. But it was a very different reception that awaited them.The bride had decided to teach the baaratis a lesson for demanding dowry. And as the hosts turned violent the bridegroom Gurvinder Singh was the first to flee. The bride was forthright in her views.
