'Don't Link Positive Drug Test to AI2379 Incident': ALPA India Chief

Responding to reports of the Air India pilot testing positive in a second dope test, ALPA India President Captain Sam Thomas called for zero tolerance on substance abuse but cautioned against linking the test result to the AI2379 incident without evidence. He maintained that the crew's response during the emergency was "textbook" and argued that the aircraft's hydraulic failure, not the pilot's test result, remains central to the investigation.
