DMK's 'Halwa Campaign' Targets Centre Over Budget Snub To Tamil Nadu
The DMK launched a symbolic "halwa campaign" at a public meeting to protest against the Union Budget, alleging that Tamil Nadu received no funds or schemes. Calling the budget a betrayal by the Centre, the party said both the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister had ignored the state, warning of political retaliation and asserting the BJP would not win a single seat in Tamil Nadu.
