DMK Chief Stalin Congratulates Tamil Nadu’s New CM TVK Chief ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay

DMK Chief MK Stalin congratulated newly sworn-in Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, TVK Chief Vijay. Former Tamil Nadu CM, MK Stalin took to ‘X’ handle to extend his “heartfelt congratulations” to CM Vijay. He also welcomed the announcements Vijay signed immediately upon taking office of Chief Minister. Major announcements included 200-unit free electricity for each household and anti-drug task force in the state. Keeping up to his promise for women, CM Vijay also announced establishment of special police task force dedicated to women safety. Stalin, however, also cautioned CM Vijay over criticizing previous government’s financial performance. “Don’t start saying right away that the government has no money…” Stalin said in his ‘X’ post to CM Vijay. “What’s needed is the will to give it to the people, and the ability to govern…” Stalin’s tough message to Vijay. He also condemned Vijay’s critics of state debt, saying “debt level of Tamil Nadu is within the permitted limits”. He also accused Vijay of “deceiving” the people of Tamil Nadu by misleading them over financial situation of the state. Once again, my best wishes for the growth journey of Tamil Nadu to continue under your rule: Stalin concluded his message. Notably, TVK formed the government with the support of DMK’s long-standing ally at the Centre, Congress.
