Despite Centre's package, suicides on the rise in Bundelkhand
There is a steep rise in the number of farmer suicides in Bundelkhand, one of the poorest regions in the country. Three thousand people have died in the last four years. The central package of 7266 crores meant to transform the region and bring relief to farmers has not been utilised so far. Farmers have alleged that this could be because of corruption.
