The pollution count in Delhi is in the severe category, touching 464 points this morning. Just breathing is equivalent to taking in absolutely toxic stuff. Delhi's average AQI has now dipped to the severe category. The dip in Delhi's air quality has pushed the Delhi government to shut primary schools for two days. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "In light of the rising pollution levels, all government and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next two days." A Central Pollution Control Board has banned non-essential construction activity in the National Capital Region (NCR), which includes Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Gurugram. The entry of diesel trucks into the city has also been banned.
