Just ahead of Diwali, the National Capital Region virtually turned into a gas chamber on Monday. The air in some parts was 30 times above safe levels. The government agency SAFAR has released Diwali pollution warning saying that firecrackers may lead to this year's highest pollution with Air Quality Index at 575.
