Delhi MCD Cracks Down On Illegal Construction, Unsafe Buildings
The MCD has intensified its crackdown on illegal construction and dangerous buildings across Delhi, demolishing 34 properties and sealing 17 others across all 12 zones. The civic body has also issued 22 show-cause notices and passed four demolition orders. Meanwhile, the probe into the recent building collapse continues, with three accused sent to two-day police custody. The Supreme Court is also hearing a plea seeking safety audits of private hostels and PGs and possible pan-India safety rules.
