A story that is nothing short of a national shame. A complete failure of our legal system. Over 70 years after the Supreme Court ban on manual scavenging, this appalling practice continues in hidden silos. And the most vulnerable are those from the historically oppressed castes. In Karnataka's Kolar, some students were forced to clean a septic tank with their bare hands as part of corporal punishment. The school principal is among the two arrested.
