21,000 Evacuated As Gujarat Preps For Cyclone Biparjoy, Other Top Stories
Gujarat is bracing for cyclone Biparjoy... which is expected to make landfall on Thursday. 21,000 people have been evacuated from coastal districts to temporary shelters. The Met Department has said the cyclone has extensive damage potential with strong wind, which can go up to 150 kmph, can damage crops, houses, roads, and flood escape routes. A dozen teams each from the national and state disaster forces have been deployed and arrangements made for shelter and food.
