In Rajasthan, 1,448 villages have faced a severe agricultural adversity this year due to scanty rains. A total of 56 lakh farmers have been affected, and the government estimates put the crop loss at 10,000 crore. In this segment of Cultivating Hope, we bring you the story of Sanwar Mal who committed suicide after being unable to repay his loan. His wife now is the sole bread earner in the family. When will timely help reach our farmers? We take a look.
