Congress Stages Nationwide Protest After Delhi Police Detain Rahul Gandhi For Pro-CJP Protest
Congress workers staged protests across several states after Delhi Police detained Rahul Gandhi during a pro-CJP protest near 7 LKM in New Delhi. Demonstrations were reported from Chandigarh, Bhopal, Gwalior, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata and other cities, with party leaders condemning the police action and supporting the student movement. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi were later released along with other Congress leaders after the protests.
