Congress Slams Delhi Restrictions, KC Venugopal Says 'War Against Its Own People'

Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal has criticised the extensive security restrictions in Delhi ahead of the CJP's planned protest, alleging that train services have been shut, 57 metro stations closed and mass detentions carried out alongside CRPF deployment. Calling the demonstration a non-violent Satyagraha, Venugopal accused the Modi government of suppressing democratic dissent and described the measures as oppressive. He said the government had "waged war against its own people" and ended his statement with the words, "RIP Indian democracy (1947-2026)."
