A group of 14 people led by Dr Anil Joshi, 67, a Padma Bhushan awardee, is riding bicycles from Mumbai to Dehradun. The group has three women and 11 men. They have been cycling for a month now. The group said they want to raise awareness about the environment, adding people need to come together for the environment instead of only blaming the government. Dr. Joshi says that as he travelled across states, he could feel the air quality deteriorating as he got closed to the UP and the capital. He says one day everybody will have to go back to cycles if the environment deteriorates at this rate.
