Chidambaram defends CVC's appointment
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has defended P J Thomas' controversial appointment as the Central Vigilance Commissioner, saying that the committee including Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj did discuss Thomas' role in the palmolein import scam but that, no sanction had been given for his prosecution.
