Chandigarh Influencer Manjeet Kaur Dies Weeks After Alleged Abduction, Assault

Twenty-eight-year-old social media influencer Manjeet Kaur died at PGIMER Chandigarh on August 26, nearly two months after she was allegedly abducted, assaulted and set on fire. According to a complaint filed by her mother, Manjeet was allegedly lured to meet two acquaintances in Chandigarh on July 3 before being forced into a car and taken to Morinda in Punjab's Rupnagar district. She reportedly suffered severe burn injuries and remained unconscious for weeks before briefly regaining consciousness on August 5 and recounting the incident to her family. Her condition later deteriorated, and she succumbed to her injuries.
