The centre says it has effectively tackled the cash shortage situation in many parts of the country and that the finance ministry in touch with the central bank RBI to ensure faster movement of cash to states facing a crunch. The government also claims 80 per cent ATMs are now working across India against the normal 85-90 per cent.
