'Can't compare India with Europe': Chhattisgarh chief minister on anti-rape law

The bill, which was earlier cleared by a group of ministers, proposes to lower the age of consent from 18 years to 16 years, a move opposed by some BJP and Samajwadi Party legislators. Chattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has remarked that India should not emulate Europe in lowering the age of consent. "It is not right, the consent age limit should not be changed," he said.
