Former Jaipur BJP Mayor's Husband Arrested In Bribery Tapes Case

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Rajasthan has arrested suspended BJP mayor Somya Gujjar's husband Rajaram Gujjar in an alleged case of corruption. Senior RSS functionary Nimba Ram has also been named in the FIR. Videos of Rajaram Gujjar discussing a commission for the release of payments to a company went viral earlier this month. The former mayor's husband was allegedly discussing release of payments worth Rs 276 crores to the firm in question - BVG - in return for a cut with a company representative. BVG is in charge of garbage collection in Jaipur.
