Split US verdict may lead to risk aversion: Abheek Barua

If the US elections throw up a split verdict, the market may see volatility and near-term risk aversion, says Abheek Barua, chief economist, HDFC Bank. He adds that after the near-term uncertainty dies down, the focus will be on resolution of the fiscal cliff and also US policies towards key economies like China.
