Revenue Secretary on EPF Withdrawal Tax

In a post-budget interview to NDTV, Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia and Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das talk about the confusion around tax on EPF withdrawals. The Revenue Secretary says that the aim is to encourage people to put more money in annuity and the Economic Affairs Secretary said that this tax will be levied from April 1,2016 and therefore, those who will invest now know the rules of the game and should invest accordingly.
