HSBC PMI for November rose to 53.7 from 52.9 in October. The improvement in the index was reflective of a pick-up in new orders, both from the domestic market and the export market. The month also saw a draw down in inventories which could imply a further pick up in production in the months ahead, says Leif Eskensen of HSBC.
