Govt testing the waters with petrol price hike: expert

Expert Surjit Bhalla says that the skepticism that the government may roll back the hike in petrol price is well based, since this has happened in the past as well. He says that the government, despite knowing that it will be an unpopular move, has gone ahead with the hike. Expert Siddhartha Sanyal says the hike of the petrol price hike can be seen as a pilot project, and the impact will be very different from that on the hike of diesel, etc.
