FM in a tight spot over healthcare tax
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's surgeon Dr Ramakant Panda and renowned cardiologist Devi Shetty have strongly opposed Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee's proposal to impose 5 per cent service tax on healthcare. And it is not only them but across the country doctors have come out in strong opposition of the proposal accusing the government of putting good healthcare out of reach of the aam admi.
