Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh has trained his guns on the Commonwealth Games village and the Akshardham temple in Delhi for causing damage to the Yamuna river bed. Ramesh feels the Games village should not have got environmental clearance but the clearance was upheld by the Supreme Court. To save the river beds, Jairam said that they are now looking at bringing in a river regulation zone notification.
