Noted economist and professor at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, Ila Patnaik, speaks to NDTV Profit about the year of recovery – 2013. Ms Patnaik says growth worries will remain, as the investment cycle is still weak along which there is a slow pick-up in manufacturing. However, she says that the government is trying to manage inflationary expectations, which along with the coordinated response to inflation, will help India move ‘out of the woods’ in the second half of 2013.
