Bullet Train Update | First Full Span Box Girder Launched In Palghar, Maharashtra The first full span pre-stressed concrete (PSC) box girder has been launched in Maharashtra for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor. According to National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), this is the first-of-its-kind girder installed in Maharashtra, where 2,575 full span girders of 40 metres length are to be installed along the 135 km elevated section between Shilphata and Gujarat border. Each girder is approximately 970 tonnes heavy cast using 390 cubic metres of concrete and 42 tonnes of steel.
