The second half of the budget session begins today in parliament. The Congress is all set to corner the government over fuel price rise and farmers protests. On Sunday, Bengal turned into a battleground with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee holding rallies in the state, where eight-phased polls begin in a few weeks. The Prime Minister promised "Sonar Bangla" and Mamata Banerjee led a rally, holding a cooking gas cylinder. Ex Trinamool MP and actor Mithun Chakraborty joined the BJP at the Brigade ground rally amid loud cheers. These are some of the top stories this morning.
