Going from one farm to another and taking up small jobs was how Dilip Pawar a young laborer from the Mangaon village in Raigad was earning his living. But when he met members of the Swades foundation a new world of possibilities opened up before him. Dilip partnered with his brother Daulat and started farming on a leased plot of three acres. Under the Swades foundation's farm intervention program for rural empowerment, they received constant handholding, technical training, market linkages and facilities to irrigate their land.
